Following a significant defeat against Australia in the second Test, South Africa has made a key change to their squad. Explosive batter Tristan Stubbs has been dropped from the team after failing to perform in both innings of the Durban Test. Matthew Breetzke has been brought in to replace Stubbs. Coach Shukri Conrad confirmed that Ryan Rickelton will take over wicketkeeping duties, potentially leading to Kyle Verreynne's exclusion from the playing XI. Kagiso Rabada is also expected to return for the second Test.
