Navi Mumbai: PCMC to Spend Rs 10 Crore on 20 Water Tankers Amidst Crisis

This decision comes as the region faces a significant water shortfall, with villages collectively needing an additional 28 MLD. The new tankers will primarily serve villages, padas, and Cidco areas within PCMC's jurisdiction. Each tanker is estimated to cost Rs 47.9 lakh, covering fabrication and other essential components.

पीसीएमसी लगभग 10 करोड़ रुपये की लागत से 20 पानी के टैंकर खरीदेगी, जिनमें से प्रत्येक की क्षमता 10,000 लीटर होगी। यह फैसला ऐसे समय में आया है जब क्षेत्र में पानी की भारी कमी का सामना करना पड़ रहा है, और गांवों को सामूहिक रूप से अतिरिक्त 28 MLD की आवश्यकता है। नए टैंकर मुख्य रूप से पीसीएमसी के अधिकार क्षेत्र के गांवों, पाड़ा और सिडको क्षेत्रों की सेवा करेंगे। प्रत्येक टैंकर की अनुमानित लागत 47.9 लाख रुपये होगी, जिसमें निर्माण और अन्य आवश्यक घटक शामिल हैं।
