14 Chief Ministers Face Serious Criminal Cases

Fourteen chief ministers, including Telangana's leader, are facing serious criminal cases, the Supreme Court was informed. Across India, many legislators also have pending criminal charges. In the Lok Sabha, 170 MPs and 75 Rajya Sabha members face such cases. Uttar Pradesh has the highest number of legislators with pending criminal charges. Special courts have been urged to expedite trials for these elected officials.
