A Parliamentary panel has recommended that district administrations withhold permission for any rallies or public gatherings on days of crucial competitive examinations. This measure aims to ensure smooth traffic and law-and-order arrangements, preventing candidates from being affected by external disturbances. The committee also suggested amending the Public Examinations Act, 2024, to formalize this directive. Additionally, the panel proposed allowing late-arriving students entry after signing an undertaking and dedicating a separate 15-minute window for invigilator formalities to avoid disrupting exam duration.
