Water has been released from the Ganekal reservoir into downstream areas of Raichur city to address drinking water scarcity and support standing crops. Raichur Rural MLA Basanagouda Daddal stated that water is being discharged through specific canals to ensure supply for residents and irrigation for tail-end farmlands. He directed officials to maintain strict vigilance to prevent disruptions in drinking water supply and emphasised optimal water management for agricultural operations. The MLA stressed that public drinking water availability and farmers' irrigation needs are the highest priorities.

गनेकल जलाशय से राइसुर शहर के निचले इलाकों में पीने के पानी की कमी को दूर करने और खड़ी फसलों को सहारा देने के लिए पानी छोड़ा गया है। राइसुर ग्रामीण विधायक बसनागौडा डड्डल ने कहा कि निवासियों के लिए आपूर्ति सुनिश्चित करने और टेल-एंड खेतों की सिंचाई के लिए विशिष्ट नहरों के माध्यम से पानी छोड़ा जा रहा है। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को पीने के पानी की आपूर्ति में बाधा को रोकने के लिए कड़ी निगरानी रखने का निर्देश दिया और कृषि कार्यों के लिए पानी के सर्वोत्तम प्रबंधन पर जोर दिया। विधायक ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि सार्वजनिक पीने के पानी की उपलब्धता और किसानों की सिंचाई की जरूरतें सर्वोच्च प्राथमिकता हैं।
