BFI Chief Ajay Singh Urges Olympic Focus Amidst Court Dispute

Boxing Federation of India (BFI) president Ajay Singh has called for a focus on Olympic preparations despite an ongoing internal dispute that has reached the Punjab and Haryana High Court. The court has put on hold a Special General Meeting called to move a no-confidence motion against Singh. Singh was suspended by the secretary general, Pramod Kumar, on October 14 for alleged financial impropriety. Singh expressed confidence in the courts deciding in his favour and stressed that boxing's Olympic goals must remain the priority.

बॉक्सिंग फेडरेशन ऑफ इंडिया (बीएफआई) के अध्यक्ष अजय सिंह ने पंजाब और हरियाणा हाई कोर्ट तक पहुंचे एक आंतरिक विवाद के बावजूद ओलंपिक की तैयारियों पर ध्यान केंद्रित करने का आह्वान किया है। अदालत ने सिंह के खिलाफ अविश्वास प्रस्ताव लाने के लिए बुलाई गई एक विशेष आम बैठक पर रोक लगा दी है। सिंह को 14 अक्टूबर को महासचिव प्रामोद कुमार ने कथित वित्तीय अनियमितताओं के लिए निलंबित कर दिया था। सिंह ने विश्वास जताया कि अदालतें उनके पक्ष में फैसला सुनाएंगी और इस बात पर जोर दिया कि मुक्केबाजी के ओलंपिक लक्ष्य सर्वोपरि रहने चाहिए।
