The storm is expected to make landfall on October 28 between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam, with wind speeds reaching up to 125 kmph. Although the cyclone is forecast for Andhra Pradesh, Odisha is taking no chances, mobilizing rescue teams and cancelling leave for officials. Schools and Anganwadi centres in five southern districts will close on October 28 and 29, with authorities prioritizing public safety and evacuations from vulnerable areas.
