BJP Slams Congress Chief Kharge For 'Baap' Remark Targeting PM Modi

Hindustan Times · politics

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has strongly criticized Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge for a remark made about Prime Minister Narendra Modi's father during an event in Patna, Bihar. Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused Kharge of violating political decorum and likened the language to that of a "mafia gang." Shah stated that such personal attacks against the Prime Minister and his family cross the limits of decency. The BJP linked the Congress's alleged desperation to repeated electoral defeats, claiming the party now resorts to slander rather than policy.
