SC Refuses To Change NEET-UG Probe Panel

The Supreme Court has refused to re-constitute its High-Powered Enquiry Committee (HPEC) tasked with investigating the NEET-UG paper leak protests. A bench led by Chief Justice Surya Kant criticized petitioners for casting aspersions on the committee, calling their concerns "conjecture and preconceived notions." The court emphasized that the HPEC, formed on August 20 and headed by Justice R. Subhash Reddy, was established to assist the apex court with fairness and transparency.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने NEET-UG पेपर लीक की जांच के लिए बनी हाई-पावर्ड एन्क्वायरी कमेटी (HPEC) को फिर से गठित करने से मना कर दिया है। चीफ जस्टिस सूर्यकांत की बेंच ने याचिकाकर्ताओं की समिति पर सवाल उठाने की आलोचना की और कहा कि उनकी चिंताएं सिर्फ "अनुमान और पहले से बनी धारणाएं" हैं। कोर्ट ने जोर देकर कहा कि जस्टिस आर. सुभाष रेड्डी की अध्यक्षता वाली HPEC निष्पक्षता और पारदर्शिता से सुप्रीम कोर्ट की मदद के लिए बनाई गई थी।
