कपड़ा हब के तौर पर मशहूर भीलवाड़ा अब राजस्थान के 'मिनी नागपुर' के रूप में भी पहचाना जा रहा है। ऐसा इसलिए क्योंकि यहां संतरे की खेती बड़े पैमाने पर हो रही है। अपर माल क्षेत्र, खासकर मंडल गढ़, इस खेती का एक प्रमुख केंद्र है। यहां के संतरे दिल्ली तक सप्लाई किए जा रहे हैं। इस कामयाबी का श्रेय यहां की उपजाऊ काली मिट्टी और पानी की अच्छी गुणवत्ता को जाता है। जिले की संतरे की खेती अब 'पंच गौरव' का हिस्सा है और राष्ट्रीय बागवानी मिशन जैसी सरकारी योजनाओं से किसानों को खेती और मुनाफे में मदद मिल रही है।
