Students at Kolkata's Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute are continuing their protest, marking a month since their agitation began. Their demands include the resignation of Vice-Chancellor Santosh Ajmera, withdrawal of rustication orders against six students, and the removal of police from campus. The protest escalated after an event organised by an RSS-affiliated group on September 27, which students claim led to violence and Hindutva slogans. The administration, however, states the protest has become a platform for political battles, with external forces influencing the agenda and disrupting academic activities.
