Youth Critically Injured in Pyre Wood Dispute at Varanasi's Manikarnika Ghat

A 25-year-old youth was severely beaten by cremation workers at Varanasi's Manikarnika Ghat over a dispute concerning firewood for a funeral pyre. The injured youth, Abhishek, was admitted to the BHU Trauma Centre and is in critical condition. Police arrested six accused individuals on Saturday after identifying them from a viral video of the assault. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when Abhishek was attending the last rites of his brother-in-law. An FIR has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

वाराणसी के मणिकर्णिका घाट पर अंतिम संस्कार की लकड़ी को लेकर हुए विवाद में 25 वर्षीय युवक को शवदाह कर्मचारियों ने बुरी तरह पीटा। घायल युवक अभिषेक को बीएचयू ट्रामा सेंटर में भर्ती कराया गया है और उसकी हालत गंभीर बनी हुई है। पुलिस ने शनिवार को हमले के वायरल वीडियो से पहचान के बाद छह आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया। यह घटना शुक्रवार दोपहर को हुई थी जब अभिषेक अपने साले के अंतिम संस्कार में शामिल हो रहा था। आरोपियों के खिलाफ भारतीय न्याय संहिता की संबंधित धाराओं के तहत FIR दर्ज की गई है।
