Supreme Court Orders No Detentions Outside Legal Process

The Supreme Court has mandated that no individual shall be taken into custody outside the established legal procedures. The court affirmed the right to unhindered movement within the city and the right to assemble outside areas where Section 163 of the BNSS applies. Furthermore, individuals will not be prevented from personally appearing before the Supreme Court or any other court to seek justice. The bench also requested compliance reports and details of detained individuals. This directive came during a special hearing concerning protests.

सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने आदेश दिया है कि किसी भी व्यक्ति को स्थापित कानूनी प्रक्रियाओं के बाहर हिरासत में नहीं लिया जाएगा। अदालत ने शहर के भीतर निर्बाध आवाजाही के अधिकार और उन क्षेत्रों के बाहर इकट्ठा होने के अधिकार की पुष्टि की जहाँ BNSS की धारा 163 लागू होती है। इसके अलावा, न्याय मांगने के लिए व्यक्तियों को सुप्रीम कोर्ट या किसी अन्य अदालत में व्यक्तिगत रूप से उपस्थित होने से नहीं रोका जाएगा। पीठ ने हिरासत में लिए गए व्यक्तियों की अनुपालन रिपोर्ट और विवरण भी मांगे। यह निर्देश विरोध प्रदर्शनों से संबंधित एक विशेष सुनवाई के दौरान आया।
