Two 17-year-old girls from Mizoram were rescued from a suspected trafficking attempt in West Bengal on Sunday night. A 61-year-old man was apprehended at the Panitanki border while allegedly trying to take one girl to Nepal for casino work. The second girl was later found at his Siliguri residence. The man's phone allegedly contained explicit material involving minors. Police registered cases under various acts, and the girls were produced before the Child Welfare Committee.

रविवार रात पश्चिम बंगाल में तस्करी के संदिग्ध प्रयास से मिजोरम की दो 17 वर्षीय लड़कियों को बचाया गया। एक 61 वर्षीय व्यक्ति को पानीटंकी सीमा पर रोका गया, जब वह कथित तौर पर एक लड़की को नेपाल में कैसिनो के काम के लिए ले जाने की कोशिश कर रहा था। दूसरी लड़की बाद में उसके सिलीगुड़ी स्थित आवास से मिली। व्यक्ति के फोन में कथित तौर पर नाबालिगों से जुड़े आपत्तिजनक सामग्री थी। पुलिस ने विभिन्न अधिनियमों के तहत मामले दर्ज किए, और लड़कियों को बाल कल्याण समिति के समक्ष पेश किया गया।
