Ludhiana's health department has ramped up food sampling and inspections, particularly for milk products, sweets, and ghee, to prevent the sale of adulterated and unsafe items during the festive season. Samples are sent for testing, with legal action taken against businesses found violating norms. In September, 24 out of 69 collected food samples failed testing, with reports for 18 still pending. Violations can lead to fines up to ₹5 lakh or imprisonment, depending on the severity of the offence. The department continues to monitor establishments and act on public complaints.

त्योहारी सीजन के दौरान मिलावटी और असुरक्षित खाद्य पदार्थों की बिक्री को रोकने के लिए लुधियाना के स्वास्थ्य विभाग ने दूध उत्पादों, मिठाइयों और घी के विशेष नमूने लेने और निरीक्षण का काम तेज कर दिया है। नमूनों को जांच के लिए भेजा जा रहा है, और नियमों का उल्लंघन करने वाले व्यवसायों के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्रवाई की जा रही है। सितंबर में एकत्र किए गए 69 खाद्य नमूनों में से 24 जांच में फेल पाए गए, जबकि 18 की रिपोर्ट अभी लंबित है। उल्लंघन की गंभीरता के आधार पर जुर्माने के रूप में ₹5 लाख तक या कारावास हो सकता है। विभाग प्रतिष्ठानों की निगरानी और जनता की शिकायतों पर कार्रवाई करना जारी रखेगा।
