This measure is proposed due to anticipated protests at Jantar Mantar and other New Delhi locations. The police also suggested reducing metro train frequency at these stations to manage potential unruly crowd movements. The proposed restrictions cover stations across central, south, east, and northeast Delhi, aiming to maintain order during the planned demonstrations.

दिल्ली पुलिस ने दिल्ली मेट्रो रेल कॉर्पोरेशन (DMRC) से शुक्रवार रात 9 अक्टूबर से शनिवार 10 अक्टूबर तक 57 मेट्रो स्टेशनों पर प्रवेश और निकास द्वार बंद करने पर विचार करने का अनुरोध किया है। यह उपाय जंतर मंतर और नई दिल्ली के अन्य स्थानों पर संभावित विरोध प्रदर्शनों के कारण प्रस्तावित है। पुलिस ने संभावित अव्यवस्थित भीड़ की आवाजाही को प्रबंधित करने के लिए इन स्टेशनों पर मेट्रो ट्रेनों की आवृत्ति कम करने का भी सुझाव दिया। प्रस्तावित प्रतिबंधों में केंद्रीय, दक्षिण, पूर्व और पूर्वोत्तर दिल्ली के स्टेशन शामिल हैं, जिनका उद्देश्य नियोजित प्रदर्शनों के दौरान व्यवस्था बनाए रखना है।
