The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) has suspended 215 office-bearers across eight states for failing to attend a November 1 rally organised by the INDIA bloc. Attendance was monitored using a mobile application and barcode scanners at the assembly point. The highest number of suspensions, 60, occurred in Madhya Pradesh, with Gujarat following with 49. The IYC leadership cited organisational indiscipline for the absences, stating office-bearers were directed to participate in the event. The rally was part of protests against the chief election commissioner over alleged electoral roll irregularities.
