Centre Asks States to Prevent Protesters Travelling to Delhi

The Union Ministry of Home Affairs has directed all states and Union Territories to implement preventive measures to stop protesters from travelling to Delhi. This directive follows a planned protest on Saturday by the Cockroach Janta Party campaign, demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. The ministry cited grave law and order implications for the national capital. Authorities have already imposed restrictions, including detaining individuals, cancelling trains, closing metro stations, and suspending mobile internet in central Delhi, which organizers claim is intimidation.
