Malaria Deaths Halved in Gadchiroli Amidst Multi-Pronged Strategy

Gadchiroli has seen malaria deaths more than halve this year, with six recorded until July compared to fourteen in each of the previous two years. Notably, no malaria-related deaths have been reported in August and September. The district implemented a comprehensive strategy including record testing and insecticide spraying in high-risk areas, leading to a significant reduction in positive cases from 6,411 last year to 3,940 this year. Collector Avishyant Panda credited meticulous planning and execution by the health department and administration for these positive outcomes.

इस साल गड़चिरौली में मलेरिया से होने वाली मौतों में आधे से ज़्यादा की कमी आई है, जहाँ पिछले दो सालों में हर साल चौदह मौतें दर्ज की गई थीं, वहीं इस साल जुलाई तक सिर्फ़ छह मौतें हुई हैं। खास बात यह है कि अगस्त और सितंबर में मलेरिया से संबंधित कोई मौत नहीं हुई है। जिले ने उच्च जोखिम वाले इलाकों में रिकॉर्ड टेस्टिंग और कीटनाशक छिड़काव सहित एक व्यापक रणनीति लागू की, जिससे पॉजिटिव मामलों में पिछले साल के 6,411 की तुलना में इस साल 3,940 की महत्वपूर्ण कमी आई। कलेक्टर अविष्यंत पांडा ने इन सकारात्मक परिणामों का श्रेय स्वास्थ्य विभाग और प्रशासन द्वारा की गई सघन योजना और कार्यान्वयन को दिया।
