Telangana Govt Approves ₹2,100 Cr Plan To Repair Kaleshwaram Barrages

The Telangana government is set to undertake a major rehabilitation of the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme's barrages, with repairs to Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla costing approximately ₹2,100 crore. The state plans to establish a dedicated agency for funding and executing these works. Repair operations are slated to commence in mid-November and are targeted for completion by mid-June 2027. The bulk of the expenditure, around ₹1,800 crore, will be for constructing new diaphragm walls, with an additional ₹300 crore for associated strengthening works.

तेलंगाना सरकार कालेश्वरम लिफ्ट सिंचाई योजना के बैराजों के बड़े पैमाने पर पुनर्वास के लिए तैयार है, जिसमें मेदिगड्डा, अन्नाराम और सुंडिला की मरम्मत पर लगभग ₹2,100 करोड़ खर्च होंगे। राज्य इन कामों के लिए धन मुहैया कराने और उन्हें पूरा करने के लिए एक समर्पित एजेंसी स्थापित करने की योजना बना रहा है। मरम्मत का काम मध्य नवंबर में शुरू होने वाला है और इसे मध्य जून 2027 तक पूरा करने का लक्ष्य है। खर्च का बड़ा हिस्सा, लगभग ₹1,800 करोड़, नई डायफ्राम दीवारों के निर्माण के लिए होगा, और ₹300 करोड़ अतिरिक्त मजबूती के कामों के लिए होंगे।
