YSRCP Demands Protection for Candidates, Removal of Partisan Officials

YSRCP leaders have demanded immediate protection for opposition candidates and the removal of allegedly partisan police and revenue officials during local body elections. They accused the NDA government of using intimidation and official machinery to prevent opposition candidates from filing nominations. The party welcomed the Supreme Court's intervention after repeated representations to the State Election Commission failed to provide relief. YSRCP leaders alleged that candidates were prevented from entering nomination centers, papers were torn, and women were attacked, with obstructions reported in over 10 districts.

YSRCP नेताओं ने स्थानीय निकाय चुनावों के दौरान विपक्षी उम्मीदवारों के लिए तत्काल सुरक्षा और कथित तौर पर पक्षपाती पुलिस और राजस्व अधिकारियों को हटाने की मांग की है। उन्होंने NDA सरकार पर विपक्षी उम्मीदवारों को नामांकन दाखिल करने से रोकने के लिए धमकी और सरकारी मशीनरी का इस्तेमाल करने का आरोप लगाया। राज्य चुनाव आयोग से बार-बार गुहार लगाने के बाद भी राहत न मिलने पर पार्टी ने Supreme Court के हस्तक्षेप का स्वागत किया। YSRCP नेताओं ने आरोप लगाया कि उम्मीदवारों को नामांकन केंद्रों में प्रवेश करने से रोका गया, कागजात फाड़ दिए गए और महिलाओं पर हमला किया गया, जिसमें 10 से अधिक जिलों में बाधाओं की सूचना मिली।
