Youth Swept Away in Drain Three Days Ago Body Recovered in Unnao

The body of 18-year-old Suraj, who was swept away in the Behta drain on Thursday evening, was recovered on Saturday near Gojhihar village in Unnao. Suraj had entered the deep drain to rescue a buffalo trapped in water hyacinth but lost his grip and was carried away by the strong current. Despite rescue efforts by friends and later by the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and local divers, he could not be saved. The recovery came after a 3.5-km stretch of the drain was scanned.

गुरुवार शाम को बेहटा नाले में बहे 18 साल के सूरज का शव शनिवार को उन्नाव के गोजिहार गांव के पास मिला। सूरज पानी के खरपतवार में फंसी भैंस को बचाने के लिए गहरे नाले में घुसा था, लेकिन उसका पैर फिसल गया और तेज बहाव में बह गया। दोस्तों और बाद में स्टेट डिजास्टर रिस्पांस फोर्स (SDRF) और स्थानीय गोताखोरों के बचाव प्रयासों के बावजूद उसे बचाया नहीं जा सका। नाले के 3.5 किलोमीटर लंबे हिस्से को स्कैन करने के बाद शव बरामद हुआ।
