Delhi HC Exempts Lawyers, Court Staff From Non-BS VI Vehicle Ban

The Delhi High Court has granted an exemption to lawyers and court staff residing in the NCR from the ban on non-Delhi registered, pre-BS-VI vehicles. This restriction, aimed at curbing pollution, was set to be enforced from November 1 to January 31. The court's decision came in response to a petition filed by the Delhi High Court Bar Association (DHCBA). The DHCBA argued that a blanket ban would hinder judicial functions, as many legal professionals commute from NCR cities like Gurugram and Noida.

दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने NCR में रहने वाले वकीलों और कोर्ट स्टाफ को दिल्ली के बाहर रजिस्टर्ड, प्री-BS-VI वाहनों पर लगे बैन से छूट दे दी है। प्रदूषण कम करने के लिए यह बैन 1 नवंबर से 31 जनवरी तक लागू होना था। दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट बार एसोसिएशन (DHCBA) की याचिका पर कोर्ट ने यह फैसला सुनाया। DHCBA का कहना था कि इस बैन से कोर्ट के काम में रुकावट आएगी, क्योंकि कई वकील Gurugram और Noida जैसे NCR शहरों से आते हैं।
