India's current account deficit is projected to widen to 1.5% of GDP by fiscal year 2027, primarily due to elevated crude oil and commodity prices. Merchandise imports outpaced exports in June, widening the trade gap, while petroleum exports saw a sequential decline. Although the services sector surplus continues to provide some cushion, the overall external account faces pressure.

भारत का चालू खाता घाटा 2027 तक जीडीपी का 1.5% हो जाने का अनुमान है। इसकी मुख्य वजह कच्चे तेल और अन्य सामानों की ऊंची कीमतें हैं। जून में सामानों का आयात निर्यात से ज्यादा रहा, जिससे व्यापार घाटा बढ़ा। वहीं, पेट्रोलियम निर्यात में भी कमी आई। हालांकि, सेवाओं के क्षेत्र में अच्छी कमाई से कुछ राहत है, लेकिन कुल मिलाकर बाहरी खाते पर दबाव बना रहेगा।
