UK's Winchester College Bans Laptops, Reintroduces Pen and Paper

Winchester College, a prestigious UK boarding school, has largely banned laptops in classrooms, opting to reintroduce traditional pen and paper methods. Headmistress Elizabeth Stone stated that screens were more of a distraction than a help to student learning. The school observed that students were checking emails and social media during lessons instead of focusing on studies. Since the ban, students are reportedly more engaged, completing homework faster, and have more time for activities.

यूके के मशहूर बोर्डिंग स्कूल विनचेस्टर कॉलेज ने क्लासरूम में लैपटॉप का इस्तेमाल काफी हद तक बंद कर दिया है। अब वहां पारंपरिक तरीके से पेन और पेपर से पढ़ाई होगी। स्कूल की हेडमिस्ट्रेस एलिजाबेथ स्टोन ने कहा कि स्क्रीन बच्चों की पढ़ाई में मदद करने से ज़्यादा ध्यान भटकाती हैं। स्कूल ने देखा कि बच्चे पढ़ाई पर ध्यान देने के बजाय क्लास के दौरान ईमेल और सोशल मीडिया चेक कर रहे थे। बैन लगने के बाद, बच्चे अब ज़्यादा ध्यान दे रहे हैं, होमवर्क जल्दी पूरा कर रहे हैं और उनके पास दूसरी एक्टिविटीज़ के लिए ज़्यादा समय है।
