Indian Rupee Recovers After Dollar Sales

The Indian rupee gained 15 paise to close at 95.81 against the US dollar on Friday, recovering from an intra-day low. This recovery was attributed to large public sector banks selling US dollars, reportedly at the behest of the Reserve Bank of India. Despite global crude oil prices hovering near $105 a barrel, the intervention helped the rupee stabilize. The benchmark bond yield also rose to a four-month high of 7.14%.

शुक्रवार को भारतीय रुपया अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 15 पैसे मजबूत होकर 95.81 पर बंद हुआ। दिन के निचले स्तर से उबरते हुए, यह मजबूती बड़े सरकारी बैंकों द्वारा डॉलर बेचने से आई, जो संभवतः RBI के कहने पर किया गया था। कच्चे तेल की कीमतें लगभग $105 प्रति बैरल होने के बावजूद, इस हस्तक्षेप से रुपये को स्थिर करने में मदद मिली। वहीं, बेंचमार्क बॉन्ड यील्ड भी चार महीने के उच्च स्तर 7.14% पर पहुंच गई।
