China has transformed a 120-metre former chimney at a waste treatment facility in Guangzhou into a public attraction. The Fushan Circular Economy Industrial Park now allows visitors to ascend the tower for panoramic views of the site, which processes 8,000 tonnes of household waste daily. This initiative highlights China's shift towards waste-to-energy and material recovery, moving away from traditional landfill methods.
