Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav stated that the ban on peaceful protests at Jantar Mantar signifies the BJP's biggest defeat. He criticized the BJP, calling them a threat to democracy and asserting that democracy and the Indian Constitution will only be saved if the BJP is removed from power. Yadav also alleged that the Election Commission has manipulated electoral rolls in the name of Special Intensive Revision, citing instances of suspicious form submissions and seizures of printed forms as evidence of a conspiracy to favor the BJP.

समाजवादी पार्टी के प्रमुख अखिलेश यादव ने कहा कि जंतर मंतर पर शांतिपूर्ण विरोध प्रदर्शन पर प्रतिबंध बीजेपी की सबसे बड़ी हार का प्रतीक है। उन्होंने बीजेपी की आलोचना करते हुए उन्हें लोकतंत्र के लिए खतरा बताया और कहा कि बीजेपी को सत्ता से हटाने पर ही लोकतंत्र और भारतीय संविधान बचेगा। यादव ने यह भी आरोप लगाया कि चुनाव आयोग ने स्पेशल इंटेंसिव रिवीजन के नाम पर मतदाता सूची में हेरफेर किया है, और बीजेपी को फायदा पहुंचाने की साजिश के सबूत के तौर पर संदिग्ध फॉर्म जमा करने और छपे हुए फॉर्म जब्त करने के उदाहरण दिए।
