AIIMS doctors successfully performed a laparoscopic hysterectomy on a 44-year-old woman who stands at 98 cm tall and weighs 22 kg. The patient suffered from severe osteoporosis and hypertension, posing unique challenges for anaesthesia and surgical positioning. Doctors adapted the standard procedure to minimise risks of fractures, especially from the lithotomy position, opting for a flat-lying approach. The woman experienced painful periods for nearly a year due to pelvic endometriosis and adenomyosis. She recovered well and was discharged after three days.

AIIMS के डॉक्टरों ने 44 साल की एक महिला का सफलतापूर्वक लैप्रोस्कोपिक हिस्टेरेक्टॉमी किया, जो 98 सेमी लंबी और 22 किलो की है। मरीज को गंभीर ऑस्टियोपोरोसिस और हाई ब्लड प्रेशर की समस्या थी, जिससे एनेस्थीसिया और सर्जरी की पोजिशनिंग में खास दिक्कतें आईं। डॉक्टरों ने फ्रैक्चर के जोखिम को कम करने के लिए, खासकर लिथोटॉमी पोजिशन से, स्टैंडर्ड प्रोसीजर में बदलाव किया और फ्लैट-लाइंग अप्रोच को चुना। महिला को पेल्विक एंडोमेट्रियोसिस और एडिनोमायोसिस के कारण लगभग एक साल से दर्दनाक पीरियड्स हो रहे थे। वह ठीक हो गई और तीन दिन बाद उसे डिस्चार्ज कर दिया गया।
