BCCI to Decide Selection Committee Chief Post-October 4

The BCCI will make a decision on the next chairman of the selection committee after October 4, when the current chairman Ajit Agarkar's contract ends. Agarkar, who has served a three-year term, informed the BCCI on September 18 that he does not wish to extend his contract. BCCI secretary Devajit Saikia stated that the board has sufficient time to decide on the vacant position and will announce any decision publicly.
