Italy Tightens Security As Students, Unions Protest Rising Costs

Tens of thousands of students and unions marched nationwide in Italy on Friday, protesting soaring living costs and demanding investment in education. Major cities including Rome, Milan, and Naples saw demonstrations targeting high fuel prices and rising defence spending. Security was significantly increased across the country, with a notable police presence to prevent unrest. Unions also joined international calls to end wars in the Middle East and prevent ports from being used for weapons transport.
