Rupee Falls 20 Paise As Crude Oil Surges

The Indian Rupee opened Monday trading 20 paise lower against the US Dollar, reaching 95.95 in early trade. This decline is attributed to a strengthening dollar, ongoing foreign fund outflows, and elevated crude oil prices, exacerbated by the Middle East conflict. Brent crude futures rose 2.31 per cent to $106.81 per barrel. The dollar index also saw a 0.15 per cent increase. This currency weakness coincided with a significant sell-off on the Dalal Street, with the Sensex falling over 900 points.

भारतीय रुपया सोमवार को अमेरिकी डॉलर के मुकाबले 20 पैसे की गिरावट के साथ खुला, शुरुआती कारोबार में 95.95 पर पहुंच गया। इस गिरावट का कारण डॉलर का मजबूत होना, विदेशी फंड का लगातार बाहर जाना और कच्चे तेल की ऊंची कीमतें हैं, जो मध्य पूर्व संघर्ष के कारण और बढ़ गई हैं। ब्रेंट क्रूड फ्यूचर्स 2.31 प्रतिशत बढ़कर 106.81 डॉलर प्रति बैरल हो गया। डॉलर इंडेक्स में भी 0.15 प्रतिशत की वृद्धि देखी गई। रुपये की यह कमजोरी दलाल स्ट्रीट पर भारी बिकवाली के साथ हुई, जिसमें सेंसेक्स 900 अंकों से अधिक गिर गया।
