Police Lathi Charge To Disperse Clash At Chittoor Nomination Centre

Tension erupted at the MPTC and ZPTC nomination centre in SR Puram, Chittoor district, on Thursday when two groups clashed. The incident occurred in front of District Collector Sumit Kumar and Superintendent of Police Tushar Dudi as they were inspecting security arrangements. As the groups refused to disperse, SP Tushar Dudi personally led a lathi charge to break up the confrontation. The police also detained YSR Congress Party constituency in-charge M. Vijayananda Reddy as a precautionary measure to ensure the smooth conduct of the nomination process.

गुरुवार को चित्तूर जिले के एसआर पुरम में एम.पी.टी.सी. और जेड.पी.टी.सी. नामांकन केंद्र पर तनाव फैल गया जब दो गुट आपस में भिड़ गए। यह घटना जिला कलेक्टर सुमित कुमार और पुलिस अधीक्षक तुषार दुडी के सामने हुई जब वे सुरक्षा व्यवस्था का निरीक्षण कर रहे थे। जब गुटों ने तितर-बितर होने से इनकार कर दिया, तो एसपी तुषार दुडी ने व्यक्तिगत रूप से टकराव को तोड़ने के लिए लाठीचार्ज का नेतृत्व किया। नामांकन प्रक्रिया के सुचारू संचालन को सुनिश्चित करने के लिए पुलिस ने एहतियात के तौर पर वाईएसआर कांग्रेस पार्टी के निर्वाचन क्षेत्र प्रभारी एम. विजयानंद रेड्डी को भी हिरासत में लिया।
