Allahabad HC: Hookah Not Allowed Even In Smoking

The Allahabad High Court has ruled that hookah cannot be served in restaurants, cafes, or other public places, even in designated smoking areas. A bench dismissed petitions seeking permission for hookah bars, stating the activity is prohibited under tobacco and smoking regulations. The court clarified that preparing and serving hookah constitutes a service, which is not permitted. It emphasized that the right of non-smokers to breathe clean air in public places outweighs the right to conduct businesses involving prohibited smoking activities.

इलाहाबाद HC: हुक्का पीने की इजाज़त नहीं, स्मोकिंग एरिया में भी नहीं

इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने फैसला सुनाया है कि रेस्तरां, कैफे या किसी भी पब्लिक जगह पर हुक्का नहीं परोसा जा सकता, भले ही वो स्मोकिंग एरिया ही क्यों न हो। कोर्ट ने हुक्का बार की इजाज़त मांगने वाली याचिकाओं को खारिज कर दिया और कहा कि यह तंबाकू और स्मोकिंग नियमों के तहत मना है। कोर्ट ने साफ किया कि हुक्का बनाना और परोसना एक सर्विस है, जिसकी इजाज़त नहीं है। कोर्ट ने इस बात पर जोर दिया कि पब्लिक जगहों पर साफ हवा में सांस लेने का अधिकार, मना की गई स्मोकिंग वाली एक्टिविटीज़ चलाने के अधिकार से ज़्यादा ज़रूरी है।
