OBC Students' Body Urges President for Caste Census Inclusion

The All India OBC Students Association (AIOBCSA) has written to President Droupadi Murmu, requesting her intervention to ensure OBC enumeration and caste codes are constitutionally protected. The association seeks the inclusion of OBCs in the Census 2027 questionnaire and the establishment of unique, standardized caste codes for all communities. They also called for a review of the census framework to guarantee accurate and transparent caste enumeration. An accurate caste census is deemed crucial for equitable representation, effective welfare policies, and upholding principles of equality and social justice.

ऑल इंडिया ओबीसी स्टूडेंट्स एसोसिएशन (AIOBCSA) ने राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू को चिट्ठी लिखकर हस्तक्षेप की मांग की है ताकि ओबीसी गणना और जाति कोड को संवैधानिक सुरक्षा मिले। एसोसिएशन चाहती है कि सेंसस 2027 के प्रश्नावली में ओबीसी को शामिल किया जाए और सभी समुदायों के लिए अनोखे, मानकीकृत जाति कोड बनाए जाएं। उन्होंने सटीक और पारदर्शी जाति गणना सुनिश्चित करने के लिए जनगणना ढांचे की समीक्षा की भी मांग की। एक सटीक जाति जनगणना को समान प्रतिनिधित्व, प्रभावी कल्याणकारी नीतियों और समानता व सामाजिक न्याय के सिद्धांतों को बनाए रखने के लिए महत्वपूर्ण माना जाता है।
