Traders Urge 'No UPI Day' Over MDR Charges

CTI has urged traders nationwide to observe 'No UPI Day', covering UPI QR codes and scanners to protest the upcoming Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) on UPI payments exceeding ₹2,000. CTI fears this additional cost will burden retailers and distributors, potentially causing a 50% drop in UPI transactions and a return to cash dealings.
