Kumbh Mela: 1,500 CCTVs to Trial After Diwali for Real-Time Monitoring

Ahead of the 2027 Simhastha Kumbh Mela, Nashik will trial 1,500 of its 5,500 newly installed CCTV cameras after Diwali. This initiative is part of an integrated surveillance system designed for real-time monitoring of crowd movement, traffic flow, and security arrangements. The Command and Control Centre at the Smart City office will oversee the trial operations. Authorities aim to identify operational gaps and refine security, crowd control, and traffic management systems before the large religious gathering. The expanded network will also enhance routine city surveillance post-Kumbh.

2027 के सिंहस्थ कुंभ मेले से पहले, नासिक दिवाली के बाद अपने 5,500 नए लगाए गए CCTV कैमरों में से 1,500 का ट्रायल करेगा। यह पहल भीड़ की आवाजाही, ट्रैफिक प्रवाह और सुरक्षा व्यवस्था की रियल-टाइम निगरानी के लिए डिज़ाइन की गई एक एकीकृत निगरानी प्रणाली का हिस्सा है। स्मार्ट सिटी कार्यालय में कमांड एंड कंट्रोल सेंटर ट्रायल संचालन की देखरेख करेगा। अधिकारियों का लक्ष्य बड़े धार्मिक आयोजन से पहले परिचालन की कमियों की पहचान करना और सुरक्षा, भीड़ नियंत्रण और यातायात प्रबंधन प्रणालियों को परिष्कृत करना है। विस्तारित नेटवर्क कुंभ के बाद नियमित शहर की निगरानी को भी बढ़ाएगा।
