Actor Arshad Warsi believes parents should avoid over-disciplining children, stating it can encourage honesty and independent thinking. He shared that his father's less strict approach allowed him to be truthful, never feeling the need to lie. Warsi recalled telling his father about smoking and drinking, receiving guidance rather than punishment. He applies this philosophy to his own parenting, encouraging his children to form opinions and not fear disagreement.

अरशद वारसी का मानना है कि माता-पिता को बच्चों को ज़्यादा सज़ा नहीं देनी चाहिए। इससे बच्चे ईमानदार बनते हैं और खुद सोचना सीखते हैं। उन्होंने बताया कि उनके पिता ने उन्हें कभी सज़ा नहीं दी, इसलिए उन्होंने कभी झूठ नहीं बोला। अरशद ने अपने पिता को सिगरेट पीने और शराब पीने के बारे में भी बताया था, और उन्हें डांटने की बजाय समझाया गया था। वह अपने बच्चों के साथ भी ऐसा ही करते हैं।
