Mumbai-Pune Expressway Accident: Rs 1.80 Crore Compensation Awarded To Couple's Family

A Motor Accident Claims Tribunal has ordered a compensation of Rs 1.80 crore to the family of a couple who died in a road accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway in 2018. The tribunal held the car driver 70% responsible and the truck driver 30% responsible for the crash. The accident occurred when the car, carrying the couple and their two children, collided with a truck that allegedly applied sudden brakes. The couple sustained severe injuries and later died in a hospital.
