Tesla has commenced deliveries of its highly anticipated Semi electric trucks to initial customers, nearly nine years after CEO Elon Musk first unveiled the vehicle. The long-haul freight truck marks Tesla's expansion into the commercial vehicle market, coinciding with record-high diesel prices in the US. While production volume and pricing remain undisclosed, Tesla reiterated plans to build 50,000 Semis annually at its Nevada plant. The long-range variant offers 500 miles on a single charge, with a standard version providing 325 miles.
