Bombay HC Acquits Rahul Raj Singh in Pratyusha Banerjee Suicide Case

The Bombay High Court has acquitted Rahul Raj Singh, the partner of late TV actress Pratyusha Banerjee, in the 2016 suicide case. Justice S.G. Dige's bench ruled that the prosecution lacked sufficient evidence to proceed to trial. Rahul Raj Singh had been accused of abetting Pratyusha's suicide, with allegations of physical, mental, and financial harassment. The case, which had been ongoing for approximately 10 years, saw the court accept arguments that Singh was advising Banerjee against extreme steps and had attempted to help her.
