Canada is focused on completing a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) with India, aiming to open new economic opportunities. Minister of International Trade Maninder Sidhu stated Canada is ready to be a reliable partner for India in sectors like energy and critical minerals. The fifth round of talks in Ottawa will build on recent momentum, including Sidhu's visit to Mumbai and discussions with Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal. Both Prime Ministers have set a deadline to conclude negotiations by the end of the year.
