An unauthorised garbage dump on a private plot in Ludhiana's Dugri Phase 2 is causing significant health and hygiene concerns for residents and students of a nearby private school. School officials report foul odours and mosquito breeding, with the garbage even catching fire during summer. Local residents complain of unbearable stench and mosquito swarms, especially during monsoon. While authorities previously cleared the site, garbage accumulation has resumed. GLADA chief administrator Vikas Hira stated the plot is private property but assured officials would investigate and coordinate garbage clearance for public health.
