Sebi Chief Rules Out Self-Trading for Exchange Shares, Citing No Panel Discussion

Sebi Chairman Tuhin Kanta Pandey stated on Wednesday that the market regulator is not considering any proposal for stock exchanges to trade their own shares on their platforms. This clarification comes after NSE CEO Ashish Kumar Chauhan had hinted at the possibility following the exchange's recent debut on the BSE. Pandey emphasized that no Sebi panel is currently discussing self-listing. Currently, NSE shares trade on the BSE and BSE shares trade on the NSE. The NSE's market debut saw its shares list at a slight premium over its IPO price.

सेबी के चेयरमैन तुहिन कांता पांडे ने बुधवार को कहा कि बाजार नियामक स्टॉक एक्सचेंजों को अपने प्लेटफॉर्म पर अपने शेयर ट्रेड करने का कोई प्रस्ताव नहीं सोच रहा है। यह स्पष्टीकरण एनएसई के सीईओ आशीष कुमार चौहान द्वारा एक्सचेंज के हालिया बीएसई पर डेब्यू के बाद संभावना जताए जाने के बाद आया है। पांडे ने जोर देकर कहा कि वर्तमान में कोई सेबी पैनल सेल्फ-लिस्टिंग पर चर्चा नहीं कर रहा है। वर्तमान में, एनएसई के शेयर बीएसई पर और बीएसई के शेयर एनएसई पर ट्रेड होते हैं। एनएसई के बाजार डेब्यू में उसके शेयर आईपीओ मूल्य से थोड़ी अधिक कीमत पर लिस्ट हुए थे।
