Japanese Investors Buy More Domestic Bonds

Japanese investors significantly increased their purchases of domestic government bonds between April and August, buying 21.7 trillion yen. This surge contrasts with a dramatic fall in foreign demand for Japanese government bonds. Domestic purchases have already reached 89% of the total for the entire previous fiscal year. If this trend continues, domestic buying is set to surpass fiscal 2024 levels, marking a record high since fiscal 2018. Medium-term bonds have seen the most domestic interest.

अप्रैल से अगस्त के बीच जापानी निवेशकों ने घरेलू सरकारी बॉन्ड की खरीद में भारी बढ़ोतरी की है, 21.7 ट्रिलियन येन खरीदे हैं। वहीं, विदेशी निवेशकों की मांग में भारी गिरावट आई है। घरेलू खरीद पिछले पूरे वित्तीय वर्ष के कुल का 89% तक पहुँच गई है। अगर यह जारी रहा, तो घरेलू खरीद वित्तीय वर्ष 2024 के स्तर को पार कर सकती है, जो वित्तीय वर्ष 2018 के बाद सबसे अधिक होगा। मध्यम अवधि के बॉन्ड में सबसे ज़्यादा घरेलू रुचि देखी गई है।
