Defence, PSU, and railway stocks have become crowded trades after a significant rally, leaving valuations with little room for error, according to Gurmeet Singh Chawla, MD of Master Portfolio Services. He warns that even minor earnings disappointments could trigger substantial selling in these segments. Chawla also noted that mid and small caps are a bigger concern, with many trading at prices assuming faster earnings growth than currently anticipated. He advises a staggered investment approach in quality businesses rather than attempting to catch the bottom.

मास्टर पोर्टफोलियो सर्विसेज के एमडी गुरमीत सिंह चावला ने कहा कि रक्षा, PSU और रेलवे शेयरों में काफी तेज़ी के बाद अब ये 'क्राउडेड ट्रेड' बन गए हैं, जिससे इनके वैल्यूएशन में चूक की गुंजाइश बहुत कम बची है। उन्होंने चेतावनी दी कि कमाई में मामूली सी भी निराशा इन क्षेत्रों में बड़ी बिकवाली शुरू कर सकती है। चावला ने यह भी कहा कि मिड और स्मॉल कैप्स ज़्यादा चिंता का विषय हैं, क्योंकि कई शेयर उम्मीद से ज़्यादा तेज़ कमाई वृद्धि की उम्मीद पर ट्रेड कर रहे हैं। उन्होंने सलाह दी कि बॉटम पकड़ने की कोशिश करने के बजाय क्वालिटी बिज़नेस में धीरे-धीरे निवेश करना चाहिए।
