Delhi Police has transferred a second case involving Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka to its Crime Branch. This case is related to their alleged entry into the Jantar Mantar area, which has been denotified as a protest site. Previously, another case concerning the same leaders entering Jantar Mantar was also transferred to the Crime Branch on October 19. The CJP leaders have challenged their judicial custody in the Delhi High Court, arguing that restrictions on liberty require a direct connection to public order disturbances.
