Actor Joe Manganiello believes his chances of playing Jack Reacher in the Prime Video series may have been impacted by Tom Cruise's past reported romance with his then-wife, Sofía Vergara. Manganiello details the casting process in his memoir, noting initial enthusiasm from producers before the decision reached Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke. He was eventually told he did not get the part after a lengthy consideration period. Manganiello's team reportedly speculated about Cruise's influence due to his 2005 connection with Vergara, though no evidence confirms this.
