Air India Faces Notice Over Passengers' Immigration Lapse

Air India has received a show-cause notice from the civil aviation ministry for procedural lapses allowing three Italian passengers to fly from Delhi without immigration clearance. The passengers flew from Amritsar to Delhi on September 4 and then boarded a Lufthansa flight to Munich. They were issued boarding passes in Amritsar for both flights. However, their connecting flights were not covered under Air India's 'Hub-and-Spoke' model, requiring them to complete immigration in.

एयर इंडिया को नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्रालय से कारण बताओ नोटिस मिला है। दिल्ली से तीन इतालवी यात्रियों को बिना इमिग्रेशन क्लीयरेंस के उड़ान भरने की अनुमति देने में प्रक्रियात्मक खामियां पाई गईं। ये यात्री 4 सितंबर को अमृतसर से दिल्ली आए और फिर म्यूनिख के लिए लुफ्थांसा की फ्लाइट में सवार हुए। उन्हें अमृतसर में ही दोनों उड़ानों के लिए बोर्डिंग पास जारी कर दिए गए थे।
