A 44-year-old Salvadorian woman was rescued after spending 20 hours in the Ionian Sea, having allegedly jumped from the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Odyssey of the Seas. The incident occurred near the island of Zakynthos. Rescuers, including coastguard boats and a navy helicopter, were dispatched after an alert on Friday. A passing freighter located the woman on Saturday morning, and she was brought to shore conscious and later taken to a hospital for health tests, including a psychiatric evaluation. The woman reportedly stated she jumped because she wanted to disembark.
